is it ok to drink whey protein shakes more than once a day?

Is it ok to drink whey protein shakes more than once a day? or should I follow the recommended dosage amount (1 scoop daily, 1-2 scoops for body builders)? It seems as if everyone drinks one at meals and before/after workouts and before bed.
I want to gain muscle mass and my workout schedule isn’t too intense (3-5 days a week, 45 min per day)

Yes! here is my whey protein schedule

Right out of bed 50 gram shake/smoothie
Immediately after workout 50 gram shake/smoothie
Right before bed 50 gram shake/smoothie

Then sometimes if I wake up in the middle of the night, I will go to the kitchen and have another 50 gram shake/smoothie.

This blows up recovery and puts the mass on quick!
