Hip Hop Playlist Workout

Looking for workout music (pref hip hop or metal)?

When I was in high school, I was the captain of the basketball team and always given the task of making the mixtapes for the warmup. Oh, in my ol’ glory days I was in tune (no pun intended) with what gets one pumped up.

Now, however, not so much. I have been lifting weights with a playlist that hasn’t been updated for about 5 years. I don’t listen to rap or metal anymore except for when I work out. Nothing beats it for “getting you going”.

Any help? I would appreciate any artist names (songtitles too, would be better) that fit these qualifications. And, though some people like dance or techno when they work out, I’m not one of them.

So, recent (2000-2008) rap or metal. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey, did anyone know Daniel Day-Lewis listened to Eminem in his trailer on the set of Gangs of NY? He says he did it to get angry to get into the mindset of Bill The Butcher. Useless info, I know.
