How To Entertain Self While Working Out?

I really wanna lose a lot of weight and the main step is lots of exercise and i don’t mind the exercising it self i just stop because i get bored so quickly. What can i do while on a stationary bike to keep myself entertained?Preferably something free if i have to get something new.

P.S. i Have an Ipod touch so i can download podcasts if anyone have any good ones to recomend specially for a gamer who likes funny stuff and possibly even recent events.

I have a tv and a ps3 in the same room as well.

I tend to only workout for short period but aspire to workout for possibly hours at a time if i can be entertained enough.

There’s good news and bad news. The good news is, it really isn’t necessary to work out for “hours at a time” in order to enjoy good health and look great. An intense weight lifting routine of 30-45 minutes and then some moderate cardio for about a half hour, 4-5 days a week is all you need. You have the rest of the day to play your video games!

The bad news is, nothing can make cardio particularly fun or enjoyable. If you run or bike outside, you aren’t able to measure precisely how fast you’re going or how many calories you burned; but at least its more scenic than being indoors. Your favorite music on your Ipod should be sufficient to minimize boredom.

Ultimately, you will work out because you want to change the way you look for the better. Whether a half hour of cardio is particularly fun or not, do you want to be able to take your shirt off with absolute confidence? Do you want to live a longer, healthier life? How about be great in bed? If you answer yes, it doesn’t matter if that cardio is fun or not. You will do it no matter what in order to reap the benefits. What’s an hour a day of weights + cardio anyways?

Or, you have the option of playing video games one extra hour a day instead of taking the initiate with your body. That way, you’ll fit in with the 70.9%(1) of American men who are overweight/obese slobs. And of those who aren’t overweight, I suspect most are skinny and soft. So you have a choice laid here in front of you, and i wish you luck making you a decision!
